We are a rapidly growing startup contributing to Austin’s innovative fintech scene and are currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will transition ownership of our core product from a consulting company, leveraging your expertise in Javascript, TypeScript, NextJS, Postgres, AWS services, security, and money transfer APIs.
As a Technical Lead at 6lock, you will play a pivotal role on our technical team, taking charge of our core product and delivering version 1.0.
System Understanding: Understand and assume ownership of the architecture and components of our existing MVP offering to ensure the smooth transition to the 6lock engineering team.
Collaborative Transition: Work closely with the consulting company to understand and smoothly transition the MVP developed by them, fostering collaboration and knowledge transfer between teams.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance during the transition phase, ensuring a seamless handover of the product to our team.
Technical Expertise: Utilize your strong background in AWS, Javascript, TypeScript, NextJS, and Postgres to make informed technical decisions and drive the success of version 1.0 of our product.
Recruitment: Collaborate with our management team to identify, interview, and hire talented developers who will contribute to the project's success.
Security: Ensure the highest level of security standards are maintained throughout the project, addressing any vulnerabilities and implementing best practices.
API Integration: Manage the integration of money transfer and other APIs, ensuring efficient and secure transactions within our platform.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to achieve project goals.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
Documentation: Maintain thorough and organized documentation of project-related activities, including code, architecture, and security protocols.
Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
● Proven experience (4+ years) working with AWS, Javascript, TypeScript, NextJS, and Postgres or similar SQL databases.
● Strong knowledge of security protocols and best practices.
● Experience with money transfer APIs is highly desirable.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
● Strong communication and leadership skills.
● Located in the Austin, TX area or willing to relocate.
