What’s 6lock?

At 6lock, we’re bringing modern money movement to the private equity industry by streamlining, securing, and guaranteeing high-dollar transactions from Capital Calls to Distributions and more.

To do it, we combine the highest standards of identity verification with real-time visibility, enabling private equity CFOs, GPs, LPs, and Fund Administrators to transact instantly across secure networks of verified entities while dramatically cutting costs.

What is SOC 2 Type 1?

SOC Type I verifies design effectiveness, ensuring that 6lock procedures and processes are written to a high standard of excellence in data security and privacy. SOC 2 Type 1 can only be achieved through an in-depth, independent audit.

After working through the audit process with Assurance Labs, 6lock is pleased to be able to share our achievement and to assert our ongoing commitment to best-in-class security.

What does this mean for 6lock customers?

Private equity’s money movement problem can’t be solved without trust. With SOC 2 Type 1, our stakeholders can trust that we’ve put industry-leading systems and processes in place to protect data and safeguard privacy.

From the beginning, we set out to lock out fraud, human error, and legacy blindspots that put private equity transactions at risk in the age of AI. We’re proud that our approach to money movement meets the highest global standard of excellence.

As we celebrate our SOC 2 Type 1, we wish to express gratitude to our customers and stakeholders for their trust and partnership as we build the future of financial networking, together.

What’s next for 6lock and SOC 2?

Achieving SOC2 Type 1 is a significant milestone for 6lock, but our commitment continues. Over the next 12 to 18 months, we will pursue SOC Type 2 compliance.

While Type 1 ensures 6lock’s data security and privacy processes are written to a high standard, Type 2 focuses on design and operating effectiveness. This will attest that our processes not only evince bar-setting excellence, but that they are also consistently enacted.

We remain committed to data security and privacy so our customers can stay focused on what matters most — creating value for their investors.
